Housing Claim Success!

Our Liverpool based client, Mrs D, instructed us to act for her in a housing disrepair claim against her Landlord, Riverside Housing Group.

The property suffered from damp and mould as well as having various issues within the bathrooms.

The claim was put to the Defendants and they failed to respond within the appropriate timescales. We therefore arranged inspection of the property with a qualified Chartered Surveyor. The Defendants then acknowledged the matter and we were able to have a joint inspection with both parties attending.

Following on from the report being prepared, the Defendants put forward an offer of settlement of just over £750.

Whilst negotiations continued, the Defendants undertook the much needed repairs in the property. Subsequently the claim settled for £2,500. Over three times the Defendant’s initial offer! A brilliant result for our housing disrepair client!
