May obtained her Bachelor of Law (with honours) from Manchester University and her Legal Practice Course (with Distinction) from the College of Law in Chester. She began as a trainee solicitor at Irvings in 2011 gaining experience in Costs and Personal Injury. Post qualifying in 2013, May has a caseload of Personal Injury, Professional negligence, and Divorce Negligence, Cavity Wall insulation and Mortgage Mis-selling claims. May also heads up the Divorce Negligence and Cavity Wall Insulation claims teams.
She served as Chair of the Merseyside Junior Lawyers Division in 2014/15 and received the Liverpool Law Society Muir Matthews Award 2015, given to a young solicitor who is judged to have made the largest contribution on an all-round basis to the Society. May also belongs to the Merseyside Junior Lawyers Division.
May enjoys travelling and seeing the world. She can be found exploring all the independent eateries in Liverpool, finding new gin bars, watching fast cars go round and round (Formula 1), playing the piano, and listening to cheesy music. She also tries her best to be an amateur photographer on her phone with the help of Instagram filters!
