Key case report

Irvings recently acted for an elderly gentleman who was over-prescribed drugs by a pharmacist.  This resulted in a severe mental breakdown and accelerated the onset of his Alzheimer’s. The estimated acceleration was 18 months, hugely traumatic not only himself but his surviving spouse and family.  Responsibility for the overdose was accepted by the dispensary. We then had to attempt to quantify the impossible; what is the loss of 18 months worth of life? We consulted experts and in the end, the case settled with our client’s family satisfied with the result.

"Very caring. Sinead was amazing, and kept me completely in touch with everything that was going on. Great communication. She was there for me, during a terrible time. (It was like a friend holding my hand and making sure everything went right). Cannot thank you enough."
