On the 12th of October, 2016, the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) hosted a seminar focused on vocational rehabilitation. This event was aimed at health and social care professionals working in the field of brain injury, including GPs, Commissioners, Consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine, Neuropsychologists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, and Case Managers.
Irvings was proud to sponsor the seminar which featured speakers presentations from Dr. Ivan Pitman, Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist, Dr. Clive Langman, lecturer and trainer in vocational rehabilitation, Katya Halsall, Eclectic Human Solutions, and Irvings Partner Gary Colvin.
Gary spoke with attendees about our work as serious and catastrophic injury solicitors. He emphasised the importance of giving clients access to good quality, early rehabilitation and care support with an experienced team. Injury claims do get compensation for the victims; but it is also the rehabilitation that allows them to recover and help move forward with their lives. That’s why at Irvings, we understand the life changing consequences of these injuries, and are on hand at every step of the case to offer both assistance and also our expertise whilst working with our rehabilitation partners to try to make the claim process as comfortable and stress free as it can be.
