Irvings Law Sponsors Age UK Fundraising Event

On Saturday 6 May Irvings Law, as an event sponsor, spent a pleasant afternoon at the annual Mansion House Beer Festival held on the grounds of the beautiful Victoria Park in St. Helens.

It was a lively affair with a great selection of unusual beers on offer, a toe tapping ukulele band and singer Mike Massey adding some soul and jazz to the proceedings. This year a new fizz bar was a welcome addition, hosted in the wonderful orangery overlooking the grounds of the Mansion House.

The staff and volunteers of Mid Mersey Age UK could not have been more friendly and welcoming to us. It was a festival to suit all including families and four legged friends.

This fantastic event is in its eight year and from what we saw is growing in popularity. It is hosted each year to support Mid Mersey Age UK and all the money raised goes to support the charity, which in turn supports the elderly community in the area.

Mid Mersey Age UK is a wonderful hard working organisation which deserves recognition and backing. They provide a wide range of services for the local population from befriending, counselling, activities and practical advice. All these services can be a life line to older people.

We recognise that those vulnerable people in our community need the services they come in contact with to have understanding, compassion and sensitivity.  We strive to employ those qualities in our legal work on behalf of those suffering abuse or neglect in care homes, and were proud to be a sponsor of this great event.
