Irvings Law Sponsors Para-Athlete

Irvings Law is proud to sponsor Para-Athlete Craig Harrison from Prenton, on the Wirral. He has dreams of competing in dressage in the 2020 Paralympics and we are pleased to be helping him.

After reading an article about Craig raising money to support his athletic goals in the Wirral Globe, Irvings Parter Ian Kyle reached out to Craig. Part of Craig’s Paralympic Journey includes him competing in the Riding for the Disabled Association National Championships at Hartpury College in July. Ian and Craig met, and with Ian being a horse riding enthusiast with himself and his daughters involved in horse sports, they had a lot to chat about! We also learned more about Craig’s story and are thrilled to be paying for his entire trip to the Nationals.

Craig is an inspiration. Due to his leg being deformed since birth, Craig had it amputated at age seven. He also has hip dysplasia and scoliosis, and suffers from chronic pain. It was suggested he try horse riding as therapy and he found a passion for para dressage. Sadly his Nan passed away shortly after and when he became deeply depressed due to her loss, he stopped riding. But last September Craig returned to the sport he loved, with his eyes set on the Paralympics. He is humble and credits his wife, son, trainer and friends for their support. Recently he sat down with Radio City and you can hear his full interview, story and more by clicking on this link. You can also follow Craig’s journey by visiting his Facebook Page.

We wish Craig the best of luck at Nationals!
