On Wednesday 7th December, staff of Irvings brought in mince pies, cakes, cookies and more to contribute to a bake sale with all proceeds going to the charity Headway. The Irvings Mince Pie Morning treats were sold among staff and downstairs over lunchtime at our city centre location inside Exchange Station. The sale was a huge success, raising over £120 for Headway. We took part in the Mince Pie Morning fundraiser as is a great way to get everyone into the festive spirit and raise money to help those affected by brain injury across the UK.
Headway is an important charity to us because Irvings clients who are involved in serious accidents, whether from automobiles, work related or cycling, often need the support of Headway if they have a brain injury. Their mission is to promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provide information, support and services to survivors, their families and carers.
To give an idea of where the money goes, the following contributions can support the great work Headway does…
The monies raised from our Mince Pie Morning can support all three of these objectives, and more! We would like to say a big thank you to all of our staff and those from other offices who participated by purchasing baked goods, and to those who donated items for sale.
