Here at Irvings, we have a dedicated team of specialist solicitors who will be on hand every step of the case to offer both assistance and also our expertise and we will fight to secure the maximum amount of compensation.
Sadly, another Merseyside care home has been in the news for its shocking standards of care: Mice living in a mattress at ‘shocking, undignified’ Liverpool care home – Liverpool Echo
Rodney House Care Home then responded to the article, but rather than offering a sincere apology it concentrated on complaining about supposed inaccuracies in the report prepared by the Care Quality Commission: Care home company hits back after mice in mattress report – Liverpool Echo
They are of course entitled to correct any errors in the reporting, but surely they should also be apologetic about ‘the extremely unhygienic and unsafe conditions’ found by the inspectors. Their residents deserve so much better.
Of course mistakes will be made in care homes and things will go wrong from time to time, but it is obvious from reading the commission’s report that there is something seriously wrong with that care home.
Unfortunately, the attitude taken by the spokesperson for the home is typical of the responses that Irvings Law receive from nursing homes around the country. However we are experienced at building a case and ultimately forcing the homes to pay compensation to the victims of their negligence – even if they still refuse to to say sorry!
So give Irvings a call on 0800 954 0243 if a family member has experienced a similar situation to the poor residents of Rodney House Care Home.
