Case study

Irvings recently helped a child who was scalded by a defective water bottle. As 10 year-old Rosie’s parents were putting her down for bed, she was given her hot water bottle to sleep with. The bottle ended up splitting, scalding Rosie with hot water. They took her to hospital for treatment and she ended up having scars on her legs from the injury. Her parents called Irvings, we acted and the manufacturers admitted liability. The case settled for £8,000.
